My name is Jamie and I am a previous lurker. My wedding is in July at the Hotel Dupont in Wilmington. I am currently looking into photographers now. Anyway just wanted to say hi.

    Hello and welcome to the board!  Tell us more about your wedding!  What vendors have you taken care of so far?  What are your major "to-do" items?

    I'll definitely throw my photographer's name out there.  We used Leah Blaise, with Photography by Leah.  She was absolutely amazing to work with.  We're just so happy with her work.

    Actually the venue is it. Photography is next. I am looking at Marc Anthony Photography. So far he's my favorite. I am also looking at Sandor Welsh.

    We also went with Leah...we haven't had our wedding yet, but we got great recommendations about her and she is wonderful to work with.  I felt comfortable with her the second I met her...

    July brides are awesome, btw.  Your wedding is going to be flipping gorgeous.  DuPont Hotel is AMAZING.  I went to a fundraiser in the Gold Ballroom last year... so much fun.

    Congrats and welcome!  Ask any questions you want, the girls here will help you out with anything.

    For Photogs, based on who you said you were looking at, I would suggest asking on the philly board.  They have recs that fit in better with that category of photographers.  It's not a bad thing, just that I have noticed over the years I have been here that DE brides and PA brides tend to go for different styles.  And it seems your style would fit more with PA brides. 

    If you post, let them know who you are looking at, as well as your price range and what you want in a package.

    Welcome!  The ballroom is beautiful.  We booked Georgi Anastovick (sp?) for our photographer.  Our style is a mix of formal and edgy.  We haven't taken any photos yet but both of us loved his portfolio and felt comfortable with him.

    These boards are so helpful when looking for a vendor, esp when you state the style you want and budget.  It can get pretty overwhelming :)
