  I used Goofy Foot and liked them. They promise to get you up or your money back. The only downside to Lahaina is all the surf schools seem to use the same area, so it gets congested.

  I used Maui Surf riders when we were there in November and they were awesome! All of us stood up no problem

  We organized a group of about 7 people through the royal hawaiian surf academy and everyone had a great time and everyone stood up I wanted to go so badley but I was an idiot and sun burnt my legs so badley the day before that I couldnt go.

  I did not even think about using groupons out there!  We are going in the spring, so this is a good time to start keeping an eye out for deals.

  Are you doing a day after session on surf boards? That sounds cool! I got so excited when our photographers (www.jennandtravis.com) said they had an underwater case! Woo hoo!!! Maybe we should look into surfing lessons.

  We have a planning trip that we are doing in Jan. Can't wait! Plan on doing lessons than so that when we go back in July we can just rent boards.  We are doing a TTD session the day after the wedding and may do some surfing with it.  Will have to see how it goes. 
  
  As for Groupon, Living Social is another one you can get deals through.  We've been watching both for deals for when we go to Oahu in July, as part of our honeymoon.
