Bride to Be bridal shop???

So..I have canceld my appointment at Davids Bridal. They give me the willy's and I cant really find many dresses from their website that I like. SO I will be going to Brides to Be in Glastonbury next week. Just from the phone call that I mad Im super excited. Much more friendly than Davids. Has anyone shopped or buy their dress at Brides to Be...how was your experience?

Never been there. I've been told it's a consignment shop, but they have tons of good stuff. I was thinking of taking a trip there myself just to check it out. Good luck - and let us know how it goes!

The woman said that it is a consignment shop but...85% of their inventory has never been worn. That brides who never walked down the aisle sell their gowns there. Or a bride bought one and then changed her mind. The shop also buy's from designers during trunk shows and close outs and such. They do has used things too. But..I CANT WAIT!

I went there a few times looking for dresses, but never had any luck BUT that is because I need a size 2 or 4, which they have very few of. The ladies that work there are friendly, some are kind of slow - I recommend looking through the racks yourself. Good luck!

I got my dress there- they were great! I was lucky- the tailor was there the day I was trying on dresses, so she was able to tell me if she could do the alterations. (i didn't want to buy a dress, only to find out that it couldn't be altered- i'm quite short). They stayed open late one night so I could bring my Mom in to see the dress. I was able to pay in installments, which was nice.
I haven't had it talored yet so I dont know how that will go.

My dress was brand new- no-one had even tried it on yet!

If you don't mind a little drive, Melissa Ashley in Westerly is AMAZING! The tailor is also great, very professional and fast and is located next to shop. Plus - bonus - RI doesn't charge sales tax on the dresses, so that pads your budget a little bit! :)
