Wilmington

Hey Ladies!

DH and I are going to Wilmington for our 1 year anniversary in May. I can't believe it's already been a year. We are staying at a bed and breakfast on N. Seventh St. I am looking for recommendations on things to do, places to eat, etc. Thanks!

The Wilmington Tea room is lovely. I highly recomend it! It is right there on Front Street as well, same area of Downtown as the Little Dipper.

Light sandwiches, hot tea and iced tea, sweet deserts and great staff!!! :)

Sweet and Savory is near the beach and has amazing food and a fun atmosphere!!! It is not super fancy, but the from breakfast to lunch it is a great place to eat!!! I grew up in Wilmington and this is one of my favorite places to eat!

Lil Dipper is my fav restuarant in Wilmington.  Also there is a new resturant that opened Press 102....it's in the Hotel Tarrymore (corner of 2nd and Dock) and it has great food too.

DEFINITELY go to Aubriana's! It's on Front Street, downtown. GREAT food, great atomosphere. For hibachi, go to Nikki's Steakhouse on Military Cutoff. If you want good wings, Wild Wing Cafe on Military Cuttoff. Little Dipper - as previously suggested - is also a favorite. If you are up for a little ride, about 40 minutes on I-40, visit Duplin Winery. The tour is nice and the wine is delicious! I miss Wilmington...

The George has really good seafood, all local of course. http://thegeorgerestaurant.com/
The Little Dipper is okay for dessert IMO, but I would never eat there again.  The food is generic and the dips are only alright.  The Eat Spot and The Basics downtown are wonderful and affordable.  Aubriana's is delicious also.  As far as things to do go, you could take the carriage ride downtown one night.  The aquarium is nice down at Ft. Fisher, and of course the beaches. There are some clubs downtown for late night entertainment.  I would pick up a Encore when you get into town (most coffee shops and gas stations have it) and see what is going on when you are here.  It will give you a list of bands playing, and any special activity going on in Wilmington.  Airlie Gardens is a nice place to spend an afternoon, or a charted boat.  Hope this helps!
