Workout Accountability: Monday

Hi Ladies! I figured I would start this, this morning since I hadn't seen a post yet. How was everyone's weekend? I got in an hour of cardio on Saturday - mix of elliptical and incline treadmill. I did my first circuit work out yesterday and wow am I sore. No gym this morning, but I hope do to some light lifting tonight after work. How did everyone else do??

  • I travelled this weekend but still managed to get an hour on my bike when I got home last night. Feeling a little blah over the lack of exercise - I'll just have to get right back into the swing of things now that I'm home!

  • I got my Insanity workout in this weekend.  This morning though?  Woke up 5 minutes before my alarm, turned it off so it wouldn't wake up H, and the next thing I knew it was an hour later.  Whoops.

  • I ran 18 miles Saturday... so I was pretty much useless the rest of the entire weekend.   We got a few inches of snow last night so I did my 5 miles this morning on the treadmill.  OMG it was soooo booooring :(  I'm glad I got it out of the way though, so I can just relax when I get home from work. 
  • I just can't believe it's snowing in Virginia and NC and it was sunny and 40 all weekend here.  That blows my mind.

  • J&K- when the forecast calls for snow here apparently everyone thinks the rapture is coming.  There's a mad dash for the nearest grocery store to stock up on milk & bread, ya know, cuz we'll OBVIOUSLY be snowed in for at least a month.  Sheesh. 

  • Had a great spin class this morning, and sat as well! It was good to have yesterday as an off day, FI and I stayed up until 2amish for a gala on sat - wayyy past our bedtime.

  • Good morning!

    Off from work today, so I did my workout this morning. Zumba and then Week 3 of Ripped in 30.

    We bought a treadmill this weekend, so I did my first day of C25K yesterday.

    Other than that, I ate too many rice krispie treats, but managed to lose .6 lbs this week, so at least it's something. I've also lost over an inch on my hips and waist this past month. Woo hoo!

  • Saturday was my rest day.  Sunday we did a 5-mile hike.  FitBit says I climbed 146 flights of stairs during the 2 hour hike.  Sounds about right - a 1,400 foot elevation gain makes sense for where we went.  Woot!

    This morning was spin class for an hour.

  • This weekend I did get to the gym on Saturday. I did elliptical for 45 minutes and then some free weights for my arms. Sunday was a rest day. I did not eat the greatest this weekend, so time to get back on track today. I am going to the gym after work for some cardio. I also think I may repeat one day from c25k week 2. I stuggled on the last day last week.

  • My back is killing me today so all I have on tap exercise wise is some careful and extensive stretching for maybe 20-30 minutes and then a slow=paced walk on the treadmill for as long as I can go.  Maybe an hour. (I get bored  ;)
  • This weekend we (FI and I) got to the gym on Saturday where I did week 2 of C25K, then we did the weight machines for 30 minutes and then we played some badminton for 15-20 minutes. So overall I felt it was a successful weekend - usually it's "Oh... we'll do something tomorrow..." haha! It was also a plus that the gym is EMPTY Saturday nights from 8:30 to 10:00! No waiting for machines or badminton courts!

    Tonight after work we're headed to the gym again to do C25K and weights.

  • @medi - Awesome job with your run!!! That is really something to be proud of.

    @Jarridds - I was really excited to start the circuit training. How often do you lift or train with weights?

  • @maribeth: I usually just lift twice a week - Tue is arms & shoulders, Thur is chest and back. I'm still trying to work in a legs workout, maybe on fri's.

  • Good morning everybody!

    I pushed too hard on Saturday to make up for not being able to work out as much as I should have during the week due to being sick, and as I am now finding out apparently I really overdid it.  I am currently walking like a cowboy, so I'm taking the day off to regain my ability to walk like a normal person.

  • Hey all!  gave myself a break on Saturday, FI and I went for a walk outside on Sunday (was gorgeous out here in PA).  Today spent about 90 minutes at the gym doing cardio =)  

    Hope everyone is having a good start of the week!  
  • Fiancee and I spent the whole weekend moving boxes, packing, and moving to our new home. We've felt so displaced the past few days and resorted to the Whole Foods Hot bar for food the past few days. My diet and exercise routines have been so out of wack the past few days but we were able to go to the store once our new fridge was delivered this morning and stocked up on some healthy food and produce. Will resume the workout routine tomorrow. We have our wedding shower this weekend with the fiancee's family.... lots of food and drinks to cautiously navigate. Need to be as "good" as possible this week. :-/
