World's Fair Pavillion

We were thinking about having our reception at the World's Fair Pavillion, but haven't finalized the plans yet.  Since there is a couple of caterers you can use at this location, I am wondering what people have used/ are using, and how happy you have been with them.  I am also curious if the price seemed reasonible.

My cousin and I are both planning weddings right now.  She chose the World's Fair Pavilion for sentimental reasons and is finding it is way over the small budget they were hoping to use.  One of the caterers, I don't know which, basically laughed at her and said that they don't cater for less that $100 per person.  Another caterer basically had the same response.  Also, you cannot go away from the pre-approved list, which is part of the reason it is so expensive since the four or five acceptable caterers have a monopoly on Forest Park.  She ended up going with Pasta House, which offered to work with her budget and the woman she talked to was very sweet.  It's a beautiful location, but if you are planning your wedding on a small budget I would suggest going somewhere else and maybe incoroporating World's Fair themes into your wedding if that is your interest.

Yeah I would have loved to have my wedding and reception there, but there is a really high rental fee and then the caterers all charge a fortune, definitely didnt fit in my budget!! unless i wanted to eliminate 3/4 of my guests which was NOT an option!

A good friend of mine is getting married there in the fall.  They are using Pasta House.
