Opinions on wedding jewelry

My friend's mom has an etsy shop with some really pretty pieces. She's been doing a lot of bridal stuff lately.

Here's the two pieces I am considering:

and here's my dress

If I did the first necklace I would see if she could shorten it a bit so the dangly piece was shorter or to have it fit tighter around my neck.

Thoughts?

Or, no necklace at all is another option but I feel that I need something with an open v neck like that..lol.. TIA! I can't decide and history proves that knotties know the right answer!

I like the second one best, but you'd really have to try it on with the dress to see what you think.  That usually makes all the difference, as both necklaces would be gorgeous if paired with the right outfit.

In other news, someone suggested you might know something about Guilford Yacht Club?  Not to threadjack, if you wouldn't mind stopping by my "Venue" post if you've got some insight, it'd be appreciated!

It's hard to tell from the pic of the dress, but is there a crystal brooch or something right under the bustline of your dress?  If so, I would probably go with rhinestone/crystal earrings, maybe with pearl drops and a simple necklace like a solitary pearl pendant.  For me, I think the large pendants on those 2 necklaces would be too much with the dress if that is indeed a brooch.  If the dress has no other embellisments though, I think either necklace would be pretty, but I prefer #2.

I like the second one best too, but hard to tell with just pictures - would you be able to get both & try them with your dress, then return one? BTW your dress is gorgeous!

I like the second one myself...but I think it'd be easier to see which one you like with the dress!

Thanks everyone! I do see what you mean by it clashing with the brooch. The brooch is sewn pebble-like beads with clear beads surrounding it. I hate these decisions..I'm so bad with fashion and all related stuff.

how will you be wearing your hair? will it be up? if it will be up, i think your dress would look really nice with some semi-dangly earings
