Yay, I have my post button back.
How is everyone this morning?
I'm good, I have to go to work, then to a wedding later tonight. Oh and my Eagles are playing tonight. I never thought this would happend, but I will one of *those* people who will check the score during the reception.
What differentiates an average host and a great host is anticipating unexpressed needs and wants of their guests. Just because the want/need is not expressed, doesn't mean it wouldn't be appreciated.
Re: Morning!!!
And then there's date night.
Go Eagles!
The rest sounds like your are in for a great day.
First up, no RSVP. So they have no idea how many people are coming. Second, some people received paper invites, others verbal. Again, no tracking on how many people will actually be there.
Good news, full open bar and we have some friends bartending. That is where you will find us.
As far as food. Every party I have attended hosted by an islanders (regardless of which island they are from) always have a TON of food. Not only that, guests will bring their own to-go containters, fill up on food to take home food for family and friends who are not there. Oh and they do during the whole night, not just at the end of the night when the hosts are trying to give away food.
I'm assuming weddings are not much different. But I've never been to a Haitian wedding before, so I'm not sure.

And betrothed, I'm disgusted with most of the comments that you have posted. I don't think I've ever read such judgmental comments in my life. I'm so lucky that the girls I speak to on theknot are nothing like you...I would've never come on here for ADVICE if I would've encountered a big a bitch as you. I genuinely feel awful for your children or your future children, and I think it would be irresponsible of YOU not to invest in their future therapy sessions starting now. Because trust me when I tell you honey, they're gonna need it. ~jcaruncho2010

[QUOTE]Good morning. I'm sitting on the couch watching Law and Order... contemplating whether or not I'll be doing any work today. My H is at work, so I'll just be hanging out until he gets home and then we might go do something.

me too... I love L&O... DH hates it and will not let me watch it if he is here. Obviously, he is golfing right now.

[QUOTE]Morning! I woke up this morning and it was 49 F in my bedroom. Makes it a little difficult to crawl out from under the nice warm covers to go take the dog for a walk. I'm pretty sure our income tax refund is going to insulation for the house this year.

I can sympathize right now. Maintenance at my apartment complex didn't properly cover the air conditioner in our wall, so I've been trying to better seal it from the inside with garbage bags. My apartment hasn't been above 50 degrees since November.

The master bedroom in our house is a remodeled (very well done though) garage. They added on a bathroom with brand new plumbing. The plumbing has been kind of wonky since we moved in. I discovered (a little too late, I might add) the toilet in the bathroom connected to our bedroom won't flush this morning. Water in the rest of the house is fine, so I don't know what's going on. And I paid the water bill on Tuesday, so I know it's not that
