How much was your floral budget?

My wedding is less than six months away and I still don't have a florist. I wanted to use Beachwood in Milford, but after I called and gave them my info (twice) they just never called back. I'm looking into Candi's Floral Creations in North Branford (recommended by my venue) Fleur de Lys in New Haven and Stop and Shop anywhere. Flowers aren't really a top priority for me so I don't want to spend a lot of money. I'll have my bouquet, two bridesmaids bouquets, five bouts, and 10-12 centerpieces. Is it possible to do this in $1k or under? If anyone doesn't mind sharing I'd like to get a better idea of what price I should aim for. Also I'm looking for florist recs. Thanks!

We're going with Jane from Just For You (a very popular choice on these boards).
She's awesome and can work within any budget. She'll give you the average price for what you're looking for and then let you know how you can save some money (diff flower, lesser quantity, etc.). I HIGHLY recommend her.

I can't remember everything we wanted: maybe 15 CPs (average), bouquet, 6 BMs, 6 GM, ceremony flowers, flower girl, flowers for mom, FMIL, grandmothers, etc.
    There might be more.
I think our estimate was 2000-2500.  But again, I could probably go lower if I didn't want Calla Lillies, etc.

Ditto we are using Jane as well & she is great with working within the budget. We got an estimate of $2000 but we can go lower or higher depending upon what we want.

I would definitely give her a call!

Fleur de Lys in New Haven  was wonderful for a co-workers wedding we went too. I have no clue what her flowers cost but I think with every bride budget is an issue. I know it is with me.

Oh no! I had such a great experience with Linda at Beachwood.  I actually reached out to her via email and she was quick to get back to me.  We were able to set up a meeting this way. Their email address is customerservice AT beachwood.com.

My budget was about $500 and I think I spent $525 or so on my bouquet, 4 BM bouquets, 11 bouts, 4 corsages, and 2 small bouquets for the mothers.  I loved my flowers and had such a great experience with Beachwood.  I'm sorry that they didn't get back to you!

I am also having a great experience with Beachwood and am surprised they didn't call you back. With them, we are doing my bouquet with a toss bouquet, 5 bridesmaid's bouquets, groom's and 5 groomsmen bouts, 2 bouts for the fathers, one for a grandfather, two grandmother's and two mother's corsages, and 12 centerpieces and it all came to 850- great bargain!

i ended up using S&S b/c we need mostly wrist corsages and boutonierres. i got my boquet, which has white and red roses, ivy, and stephanoitis & it's cascading; my MOH boquet which is about 14 white roses; and then 6 wrist corsages and 9 bouts. altogether it was $400. they require a 50% deposit at the time of decision to book them. GL! anymore questions let me know, and i'll try to post a review in Dec. after my wedding!

Ditto on Jane - we are having small floral centerpieces for the table (about 8?) and maybe 2 mantle pieces for the fireplace for the ceremony, bridal bouquet, 1 MOH bouquet, 3 BM bouquets, 1 Jr. BM bouquet, groom's boutonniere, Best Man boutonierre, 2 GM boutonierres and then wrist corsages for MOB/MOG and both GMOGs and 2 boutonierres for FOB and GFOB.  Jane quoted me around $1300, but I'm going to try to keep it around $1000

depending on the flowers you pick and the intricacy of your designs, i think $1000 for that is DEFINITELY doable.

I used Melissa from Stylish Blooms in Bristol for my wedding. My initial budget was aroudn 1500 (i really wanted to stay under that, though). We had my bouquet, 5 bridesmaids bouquets, a toss bouquet, cake flowers, 18 centerpieces (i provided the mason jars for vases), three church arrangements, pew flowers, my husband
s boutonierre and 5 for the groomsmen, 1 bout for the Ring Bearer, 8 corsages for readers, moms, dads and grandmothers.

We had ALOT of flowers (all gerbera daisies pretty much for flower-price comparison) and it only cost us about $1300 total.

Another ditto on Jane! She was wonderful to work with and as the pp's mentioned she'll work with any budget. She came in several hundred dollars less than we expected to spend and what we were quoted from other florists.

We used Karen from Booth House of Flowers, but now she's sold the business and working at Stop and Shop in Stamford.  I have to say I love, love, love her.  She was awesome to work with and everything she did was gorgeous.

I was trying for a budget between $600-$800, but we didn't need centerpieces or have a large bridal party.

We used roses, asiatic lilies, and alstros and we had.

    1 Bridal Bouquet
    1 MoH Bouquet
    2 BMs Bouquets
    5 Rose Bouts
    2 Rose Corsages
    1 Gardenia Corsage
    1 Large Church Arrangement.

Total with tax and delivery was $425.00

By making our own nonfloral centerpieces, we were able to get our flowers for $320 total:

$70 for seven silk flower boutonnieres off of etsy
$250 bought the bridal bouquet, five BM bouquets and two corsages for the Moms (Jenny Carrol at Milford Whole Foods is the hookup- she did great work for cheap!)
