Wedding veil color

Hi all! My dress is in ivory. Does my veil have to be ivory too, or can it be white? I would like an elbow or fingertip length veil.

    I would look for ivory if your dress is ivory. They made a big deal at the salon I went to about my veil being the right shade of white to match my dress, so I guess it matters.

    Whenever I see white next to ivory, the ivory always looks dirty to me.  I know the veil is relatively sheer, but if it's going to be that close to the dress (and possibly overlapping it) I would try to find one that's at least close in color.

    I wore an ivory veil with an ivory dress. Even though it's a small detail, I wanted the colors to be consistant, plus ivory is a much softer color against my complexion.

    I bought my veil from eBay for only $14.99 (including shipping) from "Venus Veils" if you're looking for a recommendation of where to buy.

    A white veil could make your dress appear more yellow instead of ivory.
