Re: Teeth Whitening

  • My dentist actually suggested the Crest 3D White Professional Level whitening strips.  She said it does almost as good of a job as professional treatments, but less costly.

I used them, and everyone always comments on how beautiful my teeth are - I was pretty shocked with the results :)

I had a $10 off coupon, and purchased them at target...I think they ended up being around $30-35?
  • i looked in the "money Mailer" and i found a few dentists in my area that were offering "free whitening for new patients"
of course, you have to get an exam and a cleaning, however my insurance paid for that..

so i went, got whitening trays made to fit my teeth, and free gel  for LIFE :)

  • I have been using the Crest Advance Seal Whitestrips for about 4 days so far, and they are working great already. Still look "naturally white", not bleached out to look like gum chips!

  • I'd post this on the beauty board. They would know more information on this. But I used Crest Whitestrips Advanced Seal. They worked, but my teeth were super sensitive the day after. So I used them every other day.
  • The crest strips definately work! My dentist said that it may not work for ppl who have yellow teeth..so just an fyi!

Even the meijer brand equivalent to the crest 3D whitestrips did it for both my brother and me.  My cousin had hers done about a year ago and it costed her over $300. She wouldn't even try the whitestrips first.

  • I work at a dental office where our ZOOM costs ~$650 with the trays you need to touch up every 6 months after your cleaning.  The doctor has been recommended the Crest 3D Strips (as mentioned above) as well... Unless you have major yellowing, ZOOM isn't worth the money as it will probably only bring you a shade (maybe 2) lighter -- nothing white strips can't do for a fraction of the cost.  Also, if you aren't already using a Sonicare/other type of electric toothbrush, I would suggest that -- I know I sound like I'm giving a sales pitch for the dental community, but with minimal staining on your teeth, you would be suprised by the results with those two things...

  • I use the rembrandt two hour whitening.  My teeth are really sensitive to the white strips, and I can control the amount of gel that is put on the tray with the rembrandt kind.  I've had great results with this, and I space out the treatments if my teeth (or gums) start to get too sensitive.  This has just worked better for me, but I've heard good things about the crest strips as well.

  • If you do it yourself, CVS has a lot of sales on their website - I think right now is 20% off... not a bad deal!
