Re: how much to budget for a jp?

  • Ranges from 150 to 300...need JP for legality in CT.
  • hey there...I've been working on my JP decision for the last few weeks....I'm getting prices ranging from $250 all the way up to about $500 (but that's for a little bit of extra travel).   The lower end of that price range sometimes doesn't include a rehearsal, which costs a little extra.
  • We have an ordained minister for our wedding and it is costing us $345 for travel, rehearsal day, and all the customized parts of the ceremony. Hope this helps!

  • We found a JOP that does military weddings for free. I dont know how much she usually charges but I'm thinking she would probably be one of the cheaper ones. Her name is Sara Carson and she is out of Hartford. Honestly I would have chose her anyways. She is the sweetest lady ever and we just clicked! She was a perfect fit for me and FI. I also talked to Renee carle. She seemed very nice and knows her stuff. I believed her prices ranged from 125 to 375 depending on how many times you meet with her. If you just need her for the wedding I believe she's only 125

  • our JP cost $250 for wedding day and then $50 to attend the rehearsal.  It may cost more or less depending on far he has to travel.  For us its about 1 hour from his house to ceremony.   www.weddingsbysal Great guy!
  • What is the difference of an ordained ministry compared to a JP?
