  You don't need to register for gifts separately. Unless this is a themed shower, most guests will buy gifts off your wedding registry and just give them to you at at the shower.

  My family and friends are just going off our wedding registry for shower gifts. I don't have a special regisrty for my showers. I don't think I've seen that done before. I think what you have listed seems appropriate. People often go in together and get a bride one of her more pricy requests from the registry. Unless, you are having a lingerie type shower, what you have seems fine. Not sure how one would have to do for a lingerie shower though. Enjoy your parties!

  I was just wondering if those are what people would buy. I wouldn't do another registry, just add things to the one I have. I assume some people would buy lingerie, but I wouldn't register for that. I just wasn't sure if those were the right types of things. Thanks ladies!

  I have always seen one registry for both. Put what you would want on there and people will decide what/if they want to buy for each occasion

  Like PP said, one registry suffices (even if you divide it up into several stores). I do believe sites like Fredericks of Hollywood has wishlists or registries of some type for lingerie, but only you would know how that would go over with your guests. I think it's kind of weird, personally.

  
  

  The bridal shower is exactly that, showing the bride with gifts. Traditionally they are household items like what you described. Some couples also put some non-traditional items on there, like board games or camping gear, depending upon their hobbies. I have cats and I put a scratching post on there...just for laughs. People got a kick out of it.

  <div>Gotcha. In my experience, lingerie showers are separate from bridal showers - unless the hosts are making it clear to guests that you want lingerie, I'd assume that most people will just shop off your wedding registry. </div>

  I am putting a wide range of stuff from vaccums, to bed linens, to silverware! Pricing from $2-$300. A little something for everyone! Some people may want to get you something smaller for the shower and then a larger gift for the wedding. I've also read you should plan to have about twice as many gifts on your registry than you have guests (which is proving difficult for me since we already live together and have a lot of stuff!)
