How can I still pull off a gothic feel to my look while wearing an all white dress?

My fiance and I orginally planned a full out gothic wedding, completre with a black gown. He was needlessly shocked when I let him know I bought a white gown. It was just perfect, and I also got into the mood where I know this is the only time I would ever wear a white gown. I feel extremely guilty now because he claimed I threw off the whole look of the wedding (he later apoligized for that, but it still hurt!). I really want to keep the gothic feel to the wedding, specifically with what I wear...any sugestions?

I would agree with previous posters, acessories can definitely help with the gothic feel of your wedding. A sash could help too!
I can see why you chose a white dress, I considered a non-traditional colored wedding dress, but I don't think I would feel like a bride in a non-white dress, even though I've seen some gorgeous non-traditional colored wedding dresses.

Hi! I'm a little late here, but I agree with the parasol and sash idea. I had more of a Halloween wedding, but I used a colored crinoline, high boots, and a spider brooch in my hair. You can see pictures in my married bio. HTH!

You can still get the look you want...remember gothis is about more than black. Using elements of cut and design can give a gothic feel..like a cathedral train, which is a must or a hat with a frothy facinator veil. You can really turn up the juice with your makeup and hair. I would suggest very dark smoky eyes and full lips in aubergine, red, or black, with your hair in a very full updo topped with a white tophat with a veil...(love your dress by the way)
