St Cecilia's and Piper Palm House

Hello all!  Does anyone have any info on St. Cecilia's Parish or the Piper Palm House?  And advice, good things? Bad things?

Thanks!

St. Cecilia's is a beautiful church. However, I decided not to have my wedding there because it is a summer wedding, and multiple people have told me that they have gone to weddings there in May or June and it has been really hot inside. In fact, they had to put box fans by the altar for a June wedding because it was so hot. One person went to one in October on an unseasonably hot day and said it was really hot in the church then too. But if your wedding is not during a hot month, then I would totally have it there! Or if you don't mind being hot during the ceremony....I just didn't want to risk it!

St. Cecilia's is a gorgeous church, and  my grandparents and one of my cousins got married there.  However it was at the beginning of July and it was very hot in the church.  After the wedding was over the bridal party was saying how incredibly hot they were the whole time and that they were glad they didn't pass out!  BUT that being said, if you can afford to get married there (I think it's around $750-$1000 if you're not a member) and don't mind the heat I'd do it because it is beautiful!

I guess they do not have air conditioning?  Either that or it doesn't work very well.

My daughter was just married at the Piper Palm House.  They were very accomodating and helpful.  The inside only holds 185, but if you choose to have it outside, the number is more (I think about 225-250).  They have two times available on Saturdays;  10a.m. to 12 noon or 2 - 4 p.m.  The area around there is great for pictures and the park is beautiful, too.  They have a fairly good size kitchen area for when they have receptions there, that can be used by the bride/bridesmaids to get ready.  All the greenery inside saves on decorations, too.  The light filtering through the roof makes for beautiful wedding photos.
    Good luck!

I got marred at St Cecilia's last July. And it wasnt to bad in there. I was worried about the air as well but when I talked ot the priest he told me they just had to replace alot of the components on the unit and its should  be ok in there now.
