Where should we go?

Hi all,

Here's a long one.

We're starting on honeymoon planning and we're kinda stuck already. We have a few limitations and we're not sure where we should go? Does anyone have good ideas?

We started with Key West, but we're both under 25, so we've switched to thinking it'd be best to find a place within reasonable driving distance since we couldn't easily rent a car when we got there.

Indiana is where the wedding is, so we've been looking into something like Virginia Beach or Myrtle Beach. But sunce I'm not really fimilar with either of those places, I'd love advice from someone who is.

Also, the wedding is in the beginning of August and I'm concerned about the two places mentioned being too terribly touristy or "family friendly" during that time of year.

We're fairly open, though. My grandparents are part of a timeshare club and have generously offered us a week in the state and location of our choice. The Marriotts have been top on our list so far, but we're open to some of the more lesser known places too. Any advice there?

Here's a list:

- Reasonable driving distance

- Somewhere with a bit of luxury/relaxed vibe would be great (I think that's kind of assumed for a honeymoon though, right?)

- Options for things to do (shopping, food, hiking, museums, live entertainment, beaches, all that good stuff) would be nice

There are lots of locations you can fly into that would not require a car. I am not sure of very many places that are within driving distance of Indiana that have your requirements or the ones you have suggested. But you may want to consider still going to Florida. Many places would only require you to get transportation to and from the airport and you would be fine walking around and just spending time in the area without need of a car.
