Cermony Music

What is everyone doing for the ceremony?? I am planning on hiring a gutiarist, I emailed him today and am waiting to hear back.
I have listed his link below, let me know what you ladies think, his prices are very reasonable. Time is flying so I feel like I need to get on the ball with things lol! ps. our ceremony will be out doors on the Golf course with mountains in the background.

Re: Cermony Music

  • I am asking a family friend to play his violin. The irish love songs he plays are almost haunting they are so beautiful!

  • I cant afford a separate ceremony performer, though I would love to have a guitarist. So my DJ is doing a second setup outside. I have no idea what songs I want him to play.

  • I'm trying to get ahold of a high school friend who plays violin and is in a string quartet. She was concert mistress in our school and went to college for violin/music. She's offered to play, but is hard to get in contact with, so I haven't set up anything for sure. If not, we may use the sound system and have someone set up to play recorded music.

  • I'm in a dilemma about mine. We're for sure going to use FI's cousin's DJ company for the reception. But I really REALLY want to have my best friend's brother play the ceremony music (he's a musician and would have a few people play along with him) and just not sure if our venue can hold both since it's not a big room to begin with. He'd be a guest at the wedding anyway since he's also a good friend.

  • We're having my voice professor from college and a piano player do the ceremony and cocktail hour.  Here's my professor- she's my favorite singer that I personally know: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GuHNwV5fDp4

We having our DJ cover ceremony as well
  • FI's aunt is a cellist so she will play the music at our ceremony. I'm thinking about seeing if my friend who plays the viola will want to play with her (they've played together before)
