Invite Wording...

So, I sent my invites out...Now I'm re-reading them, and I thinkg the wording is off....

Let me know what you think

Because you have shared in
their lives with your friendship and love

Together with their parients,
Bride
and Groom

Request the pleasure of your company
as they exchange the vow of marriage

Saturday, November Tenth, Two Thouand and Twelve

Way wrong...I don't see vow as a single anywhere...I don'tk now why I thought it was...it's the sacrement of marriage i guess and wedding vows...But to me, as they exchange wedding vows, sounding wrong, too?

Opinions, or moral support please, they were all mailed last night.

Re: Invite Wording...

  • Don't worry about it!  It's so minor that I doubt anyone will even notice....to be honest, I usually just skip over all the wording right to the time and location =)  And if someone actually does pick that out and say something to you, then they need a hobby....
  • I think it is fine.  I actually read over it a couple of times before reading your comment to see if I could pick out what was wrong and I couldn't.  Don't worry about it!

  • They are in the mail and that is what is important! I've never seen sacrament referred to on a wedding invitation anyway, even a full Mass. Don't stress, your guests will be excited to receive them!

The better question is, Did you include the time of the ceremony? I'm sure you did, but you didn't include above and that is the one thing that I noticed.
