So, I went to see my florist tonight with my fiance. I wanted to have a pink, silver, and sage wedding. Well, we get there and my fiance and her gang up on me and tell me that the pink table linen and silver chairs look like a baby shower for a girl. So, they convinced me to use a sage table linen. I get home and start watching Pandora's wedding and guess what she has? Pink linens with sliver chairs and the same flowers! I can change it back, but now I feel confused and conflicted. I don't know what to do. I admit that the sage looked better, but I wanted it to be pink. I think my fiance just wants green because it's MSU colors.

    Speak up for what you want. If you want pink linens, discuss it with FI and come to a compromise that you both agree on. Definitely don't worry about it looking like a baby shower. I'm doing light pink linens with gold chiavari chairs and I have no fears about it looking like a baby shower. If people do think that then they must go to a lot of super elegant baby showers!

    Have you thought or asked if you can alternate the colors on the tables. For example, when I originally selected the table linnens at our site, I wanted all black tables except for the head table and white chair covers except the head table. My mom tried to convince me to do all white with black bows on the chair covers. But then I asked if the colors on the tables could be alternated and leave the chairs white with black bows. She said yes. So I would ask if the linens could be alternated.
