Vent-Makeup Artist

uggggggggggggh! 

FI and I are coming up to Maine the weekend after this one to get many many things done.  We scheduled our tasting and my makeup/hair trials months ago.  We're also planning to get our marriage license.  We coordinated with my family so everyone is travelling together and getting everything done once.

Today I get an email from the makeup artist telling me "you were accidentally scheduled the same day i have a wedding.  When can we reschedule?"  Really?  You scheduled me.  Everyone else was available any weekend in July.  She is affiliated with the hair place and the day of the wedding they're shutting it down so me (and my BM) can get everything done together in private.  Also she seems to be one of very few mu artists that does airbrush!

I live in NYC-getting to Maine is a bit of a hassle. ugggggggggggggh

    Sorry, slwager, that sucks.  Does this MUA have generally good reviews (i.e. how important do you think a trial is)?  Is there any way she can meet with you at a different time from when you were originally scheduled to work around the wedding?  Maybe she could stay late, come in early, meet you on Sunday, etc., since she messed it up.

    she's coming to FI's parents house on Monday.  which is kind of out of the way so i'm glad she's making the effort.  mostly annoyed that it took her this long to realize the conflict.

    Sounds like she's working it out with you though, which is great.  I've had a couple of mini-crisis fall in my lap this week and luckily they've been resolved too. It's just a pain when you have things planned for so long and then a monkey wrench gets thrown in!

    Are you using Fringe?  I believe we are using the same person, I am going up to Kennebunkport this weekend.  She is always very confusing, but very nice.  I had some confustion with my dates as well, but strighten it out.  Good luck.

    yes jchow using fringe and laurel.  fringe is cool but laurel flaked.  oh well-it's sorted.
