I have this little jump in my heart and butterflies in my tummy just thinking about finally being able to order some of my major bridal accessories.....my lace parasol and fan! It's not written in stone, but it is definitely VERY possible! I just want to make sure that no one else in our little family needs anything before I order them. Ordering things online is so weird because I can't touch them or examine them closely, I just have to hope that they are exactly what I want. You know? I'm still going to look around online to see if their are any that I might like a little better.
When we first started planning I asked myself what do I have to have as accessories to make the whole bride experience feel...well...like a total bride experince! My answers to myself were a gown with atleast a chapel train, a parasol, and fan. I really love black so no one was shocked about me choosing a black and white gown (except I was shocked that I actually found one), but as a young girl I always pictured a very romantic, ivory lace, vintage style gown with a chapel train and lace-up back. I knew I wanted a parasol and fan then too! They were just lavender or a little darker ivory than my gown and maybe with gold accents instead of silver. So I guess I'm still living that dream, just in a slightly different way. I'm sorry this post is so long (as well as many of my other posts!), but it feels sooooo good to have wonderful people to share these dreams and ideas with. I think that these things can be so important to a girl/woman's life. I'm starting to feel like things are truly coming together, and this WILL be the fairy tale wedding that I have always dreamed of......just with a darker color scheme!
On another note, my FH and I had a baby-free day yesterday (Sunday Jan. 17th) so we spent a couple hours at our wedding site (a family friend's property) and got to set up some mock-up table settings, buffet tables in the banquet room with a black table cloth, and figure out the ceremony set-up. It was really fun and we got to dance around like total goof-balls! We ran across some local wildlife that just made the whole experience even more incredible! There were two black-tailed deer, a raven, a tree frog, and some finches. It was B-E-A-utiful!!!!
