Engagement Pictures in Orlando

Hey girls :) I just moved to Orlando last month and could use some help! We are getting married on a beach in Delaware this August but our photographer is flying down to Orlando to take our engagement pictures here. 
Anyone have any suggestions? I'd prefer to stay away from any place "beachy" - with the wedding on the beach I don't want to over do the theme :)

    Downtown Sanford, is a pretty cool place.  There are lots of old buidlings, some cute parks, a river, etc....Not sure if you are willing to travel a little bit from Orlando but Historic St. Augustine has some GREAT places for pictures! (It would be about an hour and twenty minute drive).

    Winter Park is very popular area to take places. The Orlando area is full of parks that are just beautiful for pictures.  There is Leu Gardens and Cypress Grove plus plenty others.

    That is nice you are able to have your photographer fly down, they usually charge hefty for that.  I am actually oposite from you. I moved to Dc but getting married in Orlando.

    We did our engagement shoot in Downtown Celebration...right outside of Orlando. If you are interested, they are by Emily Glibert. Her site is emilyrgilbert.com. She was fun and the pictures were stunning!

    Another option is the Boardwalk at Disney if you are looking for something a little different.

    Lake Eola in downtown Orlando would be nice, they have beautiful swans...about 15, all over the place in and around the lake. Also you would have downtown buildings in the background.

    We did ours in downtown Winter Park & they turned out beautifully. Depending on where you choose find out the specifics. Some places that were mentioned like Disney theme parks & Leu Gardens require a VERY high fee the photographer must pay in order to take professional photos on location, so I would double check. :) Good luck!

    FYI - Unless it has changed recently, Boardwalk does not charge a fee.  The parks themselves do however.  They do not let outside photographers into the park at all.
