Whats your rain plan?

I can't afford to rent a tent on a "just in case".... How do you plan for an outdoor wedding knowing it could be destroyed so easily? Back up plans? Alternate venue? Find a venue with an indoor or covered option?

[QUOTE]My plan B is to have our wedding in our indoor reception venue.

That's how we came to choose our reception site.  We're getting married in the garden of the museum in town, and having the reception upstairs.  If it rains (I will be SOOO disappointed), we'll just move the ceremony indoors.  Not ideal, but it made the most sense when we decided we wanted a garden wedding.
  • I don't really have a backup but I am looking. My ideal is to have the ceremony here at home in the backyard and if it rains to have the ceremony in our covered rancho/bbq area (where we plan to host the cocktail hour). it would not be ideal but it is what it is for now.

If I miraculously can afford to increase my budget, there is a place nearby our house that does events. It was too small for me to have the reception but would be perfect for the ceremony. Their outdoor is great and they have a covered patio area.
