Rehearsal Dinner - Navy Bistro?

Anybody have/having their rehearsal dinner at the Navy Bistro? or been to one there? FI's father wants to host it at a nice sit-down place so we're thinking of holding it there. Anyone heard anything?
(Yeh we're still like 10 months out but it was a topic of discussion recently ...)

    we had problems with them for a graduation party..so I wouldn't recommend any of the restaurantsowned by cousinos, Real seafood is owned by main street ventures and is still at the docks

    Uh oh -- thats not good.. what kinds of problems did you have? We love Navy Bistro and are hoping it can work out.
    We are also looking into Mancy's Steakhouse, Mancy's Italian & Zia's... maybe we'll take a look at Real Seefood, too.

    Real Seafood is one of my favorite restaurants. Their staff is amazing!!

    They double booked my future Sister in laws party with another graduation party from the same Med school. They tried to move her party in a different room and the way it was set up the other party would have been coming into our party to use the bar.  Also they had already printed the invites to the party before they found this out, and they ended up having to find some where else. On a positive note they were reimbursed for their deposit and the invites(at least Im pretty sure). I looooove Mancys though! The food is amaaaaazing! Best steaks in town hands down. Real seafood is also very good and is just as beautiful as the bistro I think.

    we are actually having our reception at navy bistro, Angie Dixion is the girl you would want to speak with about reserving anything. She is the wedding coordinatior that comes along with the hall, and she is very helpful. so far we havent had any issues. the hall is gorgeous and the food is amazing!! good luck

    We went to a RD there in August, and couldn't say anything but great things about it.  We had 3 great food options to pick from and the food was DELICIOUS!!  Most everyone got the steak, but I got the pasta and the guy next to me got the salmon.  Ours were both SO good and my husband raved about the steak.  Everything was very timely and organized, we had our own private area for it with lots of space, and we were well taken care of by the staff.  And the garlic rolls were TO DIE FOR.  Can't say anything bad about our experience there at all!  Oh and we were allowed to bring in our own dessert, as that day was also the groom's birthday. :)
