What do you think about my invite? (PIP)

Here is my invite. I just ordered a sample from 123print.com but wanted to get y'alls input. FI and I are getting married in our church. We're paying for the majority of the wedding with a little help from our parents.

ETA: I am also planning on tying a small white ribbon on the top somehow.

  • Very cute! You could do two hole punches and then loop a white ribbon through.

Thanks! I think I will try the whole punch option - sounds like a good plan.
  • Very nice! I think they will look even better with the ribbon.

[QUOTE]Are you asking about the wording? The time should be (no "at") six o'clock. "In the evening" is not necessary. "Reception to follow" Don't capitalize anything but the first word. I love the color and design. Very pretty!

    Thanks!
  • The only thing I noticed was it looks like it says "light reception to follow" which I interpret as not a full meal? Is that correct, because that's right during dinner time so I might be a little peckish if I were a guest.

Yes that's correct. Thanks for your input. I don't think it will be a problem for our guests. I talked to several other people (including my wedding planner) and they said it's late enough that you don't have to serve a meal, even though it is nice. We are doing hors d'oeuvres, cake, tea/punch b/c we can't afford a full meal. We originally wanted an afternoon ceremony, but 3 of the groomsmen and 1 usher can't make it until Saturday afternoon! So we had to bump the time later and that's the latest we could go. We've already let several of our guests know via word-of-mouth that we're not doing a full meal and they said the timing was fine with them, so it shouldn't be a problem, especially since we are notifying people on the invite that it's not a full meal.
