Hey Ladies-

I was wondering if any of you used metro cuisine. I am getting married at FPC and that is one of their preferred caterers. I was just wondering if any of you liked their food/service?

I have heard some badd things about them and one other company that I can't remember...
OH!
Made from Scratch. Like they are late, or run out of food, or its the wrong food and stuff like that.

I'm also at FPC and have them booked for my May wedding. The process has been nothing but amazing, and the food we tasted was awesome. No issues what so ever, at least in the planning stages.

This summer I attended two weddings that were catered by Metro and both were very, very good. Nothing ran out, the food was hot and delicious, service was just fine, it was all very high-quality... maybe I've just had good luck but I've never heard a single whisper of anything bad about this company.

I also went to a wedding at FPC with Hoggy's and that was... less than awesome.

Yeah I don't like Hoggy's so I knew I would not want them to cater my wedding ( I actually found it interesting that they were a preferred caterer but that is just me). If you don't mind me asking how many people are you having at your wedding and what were you quoted? I am actually having trouble getting ahold of them. I keep emailing them and at first they responded but now I have heard nothing.

How odd - maybe they've just hit a snag with staffing or something, because they were pretty quick to respond. Have you tried calling?

I did the Platinum buffet with additional passed apps and a couple extra details. Ended up being around $50 per person.

I don't care for Hoggys either, but FPC was telling me that they do 'higher end' items like steaks and chops... but I just didn't see it. And the dinner I had at the wedding was blech, not to mention their staff was pretty rough and sloppy.

Hoggys has a really good looking catering menu, all different stuff for good good prices, i looked into then for a little bit, and it is not just bbq style food they provide.

I'm at FPC in July and we just signed with Creative Cuisine. Metro Cuisine seemed great, but when we met with Creative Cuisine we just knew that was our fit. Teri Engal is amazing, she knows FPC in and out and had some great suggestions! She was also super understanding when it came to downing my budget. Hope everything works out!!

Hey Amelia -
My office uses Metro for events in our building. It's hit or miss for catering. We've never had an issue with timeliness, but they are serious about numbers - if you order for 150 ppl, you will only have enough for 150. We've also had temperature issues with their food - things always seem to be cold by the time they are delivered. If I had my choice, I don't think I'd go with Metro.

My wedding is at FPC in June. We booked with Metro and have only had good experiences so far! Quick to reply and food was very yummy at the tasting! I researched the caterers a lot and they had a ton of good reviews. So hopefully we will continue to have good experiences with them!

Thanks everyone for your responses. Since they won't email me or call me back I think I am done with them anyway. Now has anyone used creative cuisine? They seem reasonably priced and they are very fast responding to me (which I like)
