Cup inserts for strapless dress?

I am a street size 14 but a wedding dress size 18/20. The problem is I am a plus size bride, but not very busty. I have a strapless dress, but am not sure what to do about the cup size. I can have the sides taken in to fit a bit tighter at the top, but then I have also heard about sewing in cups to the dress. Do I need to provide these to the seamstress or do they have them onsite to sew in?
My first dress fitting is on Sunday, and want to be prepared if I need to buy them or if they provide them....TIA!

You shouldn't have to supply them.  Every seamstress I have ever seen has those and will fit your dress/bust accordingly with them as needed.
  • ditto PP - my seamstress had them for me.

FTR - when I said I wanted cups put in (my dress wasn't strapless, but I was going bra-less so wanted cups) she handed me the cups and had me position them myself.  I thought at first it was just to get a feel for them / see how it would look / etc. but no - she pinned them on the spot and thats where they were sewn in!  It all worked out fine, but take a minute to make sure you're even ;-)
  • Thanks ladies, first dress fitting went well and they supplied the cups for me. :)
