  You could always just do rose petals and candles. Maybe some floral rocks to accent.

  I am having a fairly small reception with only around 6-8 tables, so I ordered satin table runners that are the color of my wedding (pink) and am doing candles with rose petals. J You could always get a tall cheap vase (from dollar tree or somewhere) with a single silk flower like a peony or hydrangea to make a statement on top of the table runner. 
   If your budget allows, go for the table runner for sure. They are only $2.49 each and add a TON of color to the plain white linens that most reception sites only have to offer. Then all you have to add are some pretty white votives and rose petals or rocks as mentioned above, and it will still look great.
