Hey Christine,

Can you explain how this mystery shopping thing works? I've seen you post a few times so now I'm curious!

    hey gorgeous!

i found it through www.NARMS.com It is a website for the national association of retail merchandisers. You can search for listings there and there are various mystery shopping agencies (Market Force and Trendsource are the ones I work for now) You work as a private contractor and pick up "jobs" as you like.  You are usually evaluating customer service, food, promotions etc.  You get a form to fill out with instructions on what to do. Then you report your findings online back to the agency.  You get paid per store and usually a reimbursement if you have to buy anything.  Its nice and flexible but not that much money. If you have alot of free time I could see how you could earn a decent amount, but since I work FT already, I pick what i can do

Hi!  Not to hijack your post, but I have been wondering the same thing!  Have you actually received checks yet, and if so, how long does it normally take?  I'm thinking this could be a good way to pick up a few dollars to help pay for the wedding!

I was gonna ask, if you don't mind Christine,  I can't imagine it being a lot but do you get paid well for something like this?

Hey Guys- i dont mind at all.  Its not alot of money but if you can manage to fit more in a day/week it could add up.  The fees range anywhere from $4-$15 a store, depending on what the assignment is. I've seen them as high as $25. You then get reimbursed for what they ask you to spend.  The one company pays twice a month 15th and 20th, and they are pretty fast and do direct deposit.  The other company has a month lag, so since I just started I have quite a few stores Im waiting for payment on, they also do direct deposit.  I'm still trying to decide if its worth it. Depending on your circumstances I think its a nice way to make some extra money. But based on my area/ available time, I just dont know that it will add up to alot, but I do enjoy it.  In the Rockland/Westchester area I do see there are alot more assignments available.

    Hope that helps!!

Thanks!  It's not too much, but it could add up if you do a few, and being that I love to shop, why not get paid for it!  I'll definitely have to look into this.  Thanks again!
