Cruise Line Suggestions

Hey Ladies,
FI and I are more than likely going to go on our cruise for our honeymoon. We've both never been on a cruise before and I was wondering which one's you find nice & fun.
Opinions?

Also, do any of you know of any cruise ships leave from anywhere in FL to europe? It seems like you have to fly somewhere first. I was just curious.

Thanks guys! <3

I have only been on Royal Carribbean.  It was really nice.  There was a couple on my ship that were on their honeymoon (I'm sure there were more but I only knew of the one)  They seemed to have a good time.

I think you would have to do a trans-atlantic then change ships if you want to cruise start to finish. I would call a travel agent just to see though.

We cruised Celebrity for our HM and loved it. We are all about the service though so the smaller staff to guest ratio was fantastic.

I recommend getting a balcony room if you can!

I love Royal Carribbean.  Some cruise lines do travel across the ocean. However, they only do it once a year at a very specific time.  You spend about ten days on the ship and almost all of it is on the ocean. If you don't buy two cruises and continue on for the European tour, you have to fly home from Europe.  Actually, you'd have to fly home from Europe either way.

We have been on three cruises with Royal Caribbean. We LOVE them!  FI has been on a few other lines before, but likes RC the best!

I usually do 3 cruises a year and my favorite cruiseline is Royal Caribbean.  The Freedom of the Seas is the most amazing ship I have ever been on.  I am going on the new Oasis of the Seas in June and that ship is suppose to be even more amazing.  Both of those ships go to the eastern and western caribbean I believe.

I don't think 1 cruise would cross the Atlantic and then do Europe. Crossing the Atlantic takes 5 days (and it can be quite a bumpy ride!), I know the QM2 does it quite regularly from New York to Southampton, England but I don't know of any that do it from Florida.

You're best off flying, but where possible try to avoid joining a ship in Venice. I worked on a ship which docked in Venice and watching people get on the ship seemed like a horrendous experience.

As for what line, I've heard good things about Royal Carribbean too.

I went on a Disney cruise for our honeymoon in December! I've also been on the Royal Caribbean! I have to say I loved BOTH! I loved Disney because I'm such a Disney fan and it was AWESOME...but the Royal Caribbean had a lot more for adults to do on the ship. Disney did, too....but when we compared them to ourselves, we felt the RC had a LOT more on their itinerary for adults to do! Either way we loved BOTH of them and immediately started planning our next cruise when we got back! LOL

(Tip: Take ginger tablets with you just in case you get quezy from the waves (take them before you get on the ship even)...the waves aren't bad because they have stabilizers, but if you aren't used to them, it might bother you a little. Just better safe than sorry!)
