What did everyone get for Christmas this year?

I actually cleaned up pretty good. I got a Cricut, Wii Fit, Food Saver, and some other great stuff!

A snuggie!!!!! Hahaha. That was from FI. We agreed on small gifts this year (he also got me a Borders gift certificate). We got lots of good gift cards but the best gift was the really nice luggage my mom bought us. I have one nice piece but that was all we had so now we have luggage for the honeymoon!

My mom got me a pink one and then my FI got me an FSU one. I think I'm going to return the pink one to BBB and get a giftcard.

Hi there.. From time to time I've lurked on the board.

For Christmas I got engaged!! Definitely a great present. I also got other stuff but I'm sure you can all understand how great that present was - lol! Anyway I hope to hop on here from time to time.

I had a wonderful Christmas. Everything worked out well and we were able to see all of our family in town.

FI got me a new digital camera (Canon PowerShot ELPH SD780 IS) and I love the picture quality on it. That was definitely my favorite gift. I got The First Days of School by Harry and Rosemary Wong and am really excited to read it. FI and I got a food processor and other things off of our wedding registry. My favorite registry item was from my dad and step-mom. I love cherries and had registered for an apron with cherries all over it (think 1950's housewife). They got it for me and had my name embroidered at the top of it.

Those were some of the gift highlights.

YourShape & Resorts games for the Wii, ~ both are awesome. I have been kicking fi's butt in resorts games, which is awesome because I never win anything against him, lol he is pouting...

Fi's family decided no gifts this year but nobody told us so we showed up with gifts for everyone but we were the only ones. It made it fun for us to the official Santa's, but Fi's Mom was not happy. Communication is so lacking in his family. We just ignored the mini drama and passed out our gifts and enjoyed. Evidently they had only been doing gifts to keep one of Fi's Aunts happy because it was something she insisted on. She passed away last January so fi's mom announced to everyone but us that we wouldn't "have" to do presents this year.

I am glad we did though, Fi's uncle (who's wife died) was smiling and had tears in his eyes and gave me a hug and said his wife would have loved what we did. That made it all worth it!

I was way to faithful to my diet though. I am now obsessing on all the things I didn't eat. LOL I am using tremendous willpower not to binge today... LOL

Cris and I decided that we wouldn't do presents this year since the wedding is coming up so quickly. He totally broke our rule though. We did secret santas for my family and my sister had me. He knew one of her gifts to me was $75 GC towards the new running shoes that I want since I'm training for a marathon in June. Cris went to the Jax running company (where my shoes are) and got me another $50 GC so that I can get my shoes w/both of their GC's and not pay anything out of pocket. It was very sweet (of both of them) and I can't wait to go get my new shoes tomorrow!

I got some more running stuff. My mom (who is hilarious w/buying gifts) decided that while she wanted to do the secret santa she also just had to buy something for my sister and I and she tried to pass off a really cute Gap sweater as a "stocking stuffer!"

That totally broke the "rules" of the gift exchange. I also got a really sweet picture that my sister framed for me of my niece and I.

FI and I didn't exchange gifts this year since we bought a really nice TV a few months ago and also because we just got engaged.

My family gave us some great stuff for the kitchen (we love to cook) and his parents gave us a Shark Steam Mop. Is it sad that I get really excited about these kinds of things?

We had a great Christmas! We did a secret santa with FI's family. His sister gave me some great stuff for my new bicycle. We spent Christmas day with my parents in Orlando. They went overboard as did FI. They got us clothes, gift cards, games, etc. FI got me clothes, really nice warm jacket, shoes for work and a kayak (great last minute deal on craigslist). The best though was seeing our dog. FI didn't do anything with him last year for christmas so this was his first one. He was so overwhelmed! He loved his toys though after it was all over. He also got a bed and he curled up in it after it was opened and was doing the kid thing where he was so tired but didn't want to miss anything.
