Average Catering Prices

Roughly speaking, is $100 per person the norm for DC Metro area caterers?

(This includes food, bev, equipment, delivery, and service.)

It ranges all over the map unfortunately & is really dependent on how the food/bev provider perceives his clientele & services & how the economy is doing (bad).

    Sorry not answering directly.

FYR - mine's came out to about $95/pp from a country club which includes open bar for 4 hours+5 passed hor doevres + chicken/fish entrees +ceremony in Loudoun Cty.

Good luck in your search.  Your best bet IS to shop around & not be afraid to walk away & stick to your budget.  When they ping you back...you know that they are willing to talk.  In this economy, many should!

I am having my wedding at a hotel (Key Bridge Marriott) so that includes the venue cake, cocktail hour, buffet dinner and 5 hours open bar which ends up being $189/person.

It does really range. The one thing I realized about DC is that many have a site fee and then the F&B in addition. Others have a minimum requirement to utilize a certain space.

If you have a budget stick to it and you will still find something amazing! :o)
