NWR: DIY Decor + DIY rhinestone pumps

I got a little carried away at Michaels yesterday (they have 50% canvases!) and bought some materials for a few projects I've been wanting to do. We still don't have any art above our bed in our Master Bedroom so I figured I'd make it myself.

The song I'll walk down the aisle to is "You & Me" by Dave Matthews Band. So I though it'd be fun to use that as inspiration. So, I bought the supplies (listed below photos) and went to town! Here were my steps:

Cut foam board letters w/ exacto knife & glue to canvas w/ E-6000 glue

Use Acrylic white paint and a thicker brush

Use a sweeping motion and short strokes to get texture on canvas & letters

Finished product. The letters look the same color and style as the canvas just protruding. :) Will be doing this w/ our wedding date too and our names eventually for Wedding decor! :) Can't wait to hang it on our blue walls!

DIY #2: Rhinestone heels!
I'm leaving for VEGAS next week and didn't want to splurge for the real swarovski encrusted heels I wanted... so I picked up a $30 pair of patent leather heels at target and rhinestoned them myself! Here's the before and after! I kind of wish I would have done all black now... what do you think?
