How do you feel about PDA's?

What is your attitude towards PDA's?

Scott and I were never big on them, and never really needed to be since we moved in together early in the relationship. Now I see couples being uber affectionate or making out (especially on my trashy realty tv show) and kind of feel like we missed out on something.

Are you a fan? Do we just stop after a certain age? Watermelon?

Also, I'm okay with cuddling, hand-holding, and a peck or two. But full blown face-eating in public is just rude, imo and I would never do it.

Never a big PDA person. At home, sure! We'll sit on the couch holding hands and cuddling. I'm just a private person (H too) and don't feel right with more than a peck on the cheek in public.

You should probably qualify what you consider PDA. I kiss my FI pretty much anywhere we go and grab her butt from time to time in public lol. We've been known to make out a bit at night clubs but not in less appropriate places like the dinner table at a restaurant lol.

We just kiss. And when I drink that is a lot. I don't think I've ever made out with him in public but may have "touched" him at clubs or bars...you know.

We both just don't feel comfortable with stopping on the sidewalk to make out in front of everybody in Chicago...or me getting on top of him on the El.

But when other people do it, I watch like a creeper and usually laugh about it. I like to see other people in love!

I don't mind a quick kiss in public, but nothing with tongue. H and I will hold hands or hug and I'm fine with that. But full-on making out, groping, or anything else that should only be done in private stays behind closed doors.

At my mom's or dad's, H and I will lay together cuddled up on the couch, but they do the same so it's not like anyone is uncomfortable with the closeness. But I certainly wouldn't lay against him at my grandma's.

Hmm I guess pda in the "high schoolers who can't go home" sense of pda. Kissing a lot in public, in the car, at clubs, things like that.

Depends on the person - with my ex, I NEVER wanted to do ANY PDA. But with Ben I can't keep my hands off of him. ...It's not THAT bad, I certainly wouldn't make out with him in public (except that one time I was plowed), but we hold hands, do the whole arm around thing, sometimes steal a kiss here and there.

As long as people aren't licking the back of each other's throats it doesn't really bother me.

We're not huge on PDA, but that's just us. For the most part, it doesn't bother me when others do it unless it looks like they are going to get naked soon or something.

I'm not a fan of gratuitous make outs in public, but I'm good with a kiss, squeeze, hug, etc.

One time, at my mom's house, Matt grabbed my boob when I walked by. Like a full on honking grab. He said he forgot where we were. Bless his heart.

I've never been into PDA (although many drunk college nights could prove me wrong). Scott hates hand holding so I usually hook my arm through his and that's as far as we go. I don't mind seeing people being affectionate with a peck or arm around the waist, but making out in public grosses me out.

Meh, I'd rather see people PDA in public instead of fighting. That being said, we hold hands and peck but we don't do anything else. He has been known to pat me on my butt.

Fi and I are pretty affectionate. We hold hands all the time and we will hug and cuddle with each. Pecks here and there but never full on make out session.

This reminds me on Sunday Fi and I were driving home from the market and there was a bus and a teenage couple all the way in the back so right next to my window and they were full on making out. I sat there and stared for a good minute or 2 and they were just going at it. I couldn't believe it. I so wanted to roll down the window and say something just for kicks.

As for the other PDA, we hold hands in public, sometimes*, the rest is in private of our own home.

I don't mind a little PDA (pecks, hugs, squeezes) like most people mentioned.. but I think it depends on the social situation too. I have a friend who started dating this guy a couple months ago.. and we'll be hanging out as a foursome and he'll be all over her. It would be one thing if it were a big group, but when FI and I are the only other people in the room, it's beyond awkward. Once another friend of mine got stuck in the back seat of a car ride with them.. I felt so bad for her.

I hate PDA's that go beyond a quick kiss. I would never makeout in public and Kyle knows not to do a butt grab or anything of that nature in public. He dose not seem to have a problem with that kind of stuff but everyone says in old fashioned. It makes me really uncomfortable to see couples making-out in public. We hold hands and hug in public and a quick kiss but I had to work up to that. I used to not even want to hold hands in public with my Ex's. Im pretty shy and modest when it comes to that stuff and i think its rude when I see people at the beach humping on top of each other and making-out in bathing suits...ew.
