Hi Ladies,
Sorry I didn't get to sign off before the big day, it just got so crazy around here the last few day's....
Well, the wedding was incredible to say the least. I am still on cloud nine over it. The day started out great, the sun even came out early enough to ease my concerns, thank God. Everyone pitched in, my MOH, my Bridesmaids the boy's everyone was great that day. We had a few hiccups that just added to the great story, We ended up 30 min late to the ceremony, partly because my youngest son who just got his license drove through the E-Z Pass lane without an E-Z Pass. So we had to wait for him, then my SIL who was leading the pack driving was driving like a bat out of he.. and lost half the wedding party enroute. Had to pull over and wait 5 different times.
When we arrived at the church, the bells began to ring, it was an incredible feeling. The girls walked down the aisle led by my cousin in-law playing the bagpipes. It sounded amazing... My oldest son walked me down the aisle, I held it together until I saw my aunt with tears streaming down her face, I couldn't hold it back. Once I got to the alter and saw my husband, everything was ok. The rest of the ceremony went by flawlessly and too fast.
We all gathered for our pictures at a local park and then headed to the reception only to find out that there was an accident that wouldnt let us turn the corner to the restaurant 1/2 mile away. Let the texting begin, not only the wedding party, but, half the guests had to be detoured and phone calls and texting got everyone there safe and sound, until my MOH called to let us know that her husband followed by 3 other cars got on the thruway which the next exit off was 15 miles. Needless to say the rest of the wedding party got there at 6 an hour late, the dj was great, the caterer was fantastic and very accomodating and the party began. Everyone had a blast, I danced from the minute we got to the reception to the last song. It was everything I could have imagined and even more.
Thank You ladies for all your kindness and support you've given me while planning my special day. Being on the knot with you wonderful women has enhanced this wedding experience more than I can say. Again, Thank You. For all you ladies who are still planning, I wish you the wedding of your dreams and your Happily Ever After.
Here are a few pictures from friends and family.
