More Mad Men

Doesn't it seem strange that they would introduce Joan's pregnancy and then terminate it all in one episode?

The more I think about it, the more I think that maybe she didn't go through with the abortion.  That woman in the waiting room was there for a reason, "How old is YOUR daughter?"  Maybe she wants a kid.

Yes, it was strange. This is usually the type of thing they drag out for a few episode.

The writers left it really wide open to speculation.

I thought Joan wanted a kid. Isn't that part of the reason she was upset that her H went into the military? I thought that was part of the reason he got a vase to the back of the head.

I'm not convinced that Joan "took care of it."

I really want to see Bert's reaction when Roger let's loose that Lucky Strike it gone. They just lost a 4million dollar account due to Don and Pete, without Lucky Strike SCDP is sunk.

Gerally I like Roger. I find him endearingly arrogant and obtuse. This week I wanted to throtle him.

I think part of the anger Roger was spewing at Pete had to do with Lucky Strike.

I'd be surprised if Joan didn't "take care of it." She is incredibbly pragmatic (and also likes to keep up appearances) and Roger already said it would not be his child if she kept it. If her husband suspected infidelity, how would she raise this child on her own? How would that look?

I kind of think she is counting on Greg getting killed.

I figured Greg getting killed was a given.

oh I'm sure it was a Lucky Strike cover up on his part, but we don't know how Bert will react. He was the calmest one in the room when Pete killed the deal.

Weiner is known for keeping things on cliff hangers and Joan's pregnancy was too quick and clean. Which makes me think otherwise in terms her getting rid of it.

This will also teach Don to stop just signing things without reading them. He can blame Megan all he wants for writing the form and sending it but he was the one who signed it. This rests completely on his shoulders and no one else's.

One more thing I thought of: Now that Lucky Strike guy is gone, they can hire Sal back. Anyone else think he'll be reappearing?

The actor said Sal wasn't a dead character but that he's been doing his own thing (a one man show and some other stuff) while waiting to come back.

Man, I miss Sal.  It would be awesome if he came back.

I laughed when Don told Faye she wasn't "a real doctor."
