Hey everyone, I'm having a beach themed reception. I'm considering using sand pails as the container for the candy at the candy buffet. Has anyone done this or seen this done before? What are your thoughts?? Thanks!
That sounds really cute! I even like the idea of using the little kid sand tools as scoops. If you use a tan colored tulle and seashells around the bottom you can make it look like they are sitting in the sand too.
At candywarehouse.com they even have beach themed candy-such as gummy candy in flip flop shapes, sea shell hard candy & beach ball gum balls.. Your idea sounds great & very inexpensive! & if you wanted to go into great detail you could even put sand on the tables, & add some star fishm sea shells & sand dollars on too.
I would also use some clear containers. Being able to see all that candy is part of the visual appeal of the candy bar. I am also having a tropical themed wedding and a candy bar. We are using all clear containers but using burlap on the table and crinkling it up to look like sand.
