Hi girls,

I am having a really hard time with DJ bc I want an awesome one. I am getting all sorts of prices from $850 to $2k but I don't know how much this is all supposed to cost.

My main wants are:
18 LED upllights
5 hours of reception music
My monogram on the dance floor
And I would like the DJ booth to have a nice cover so it doesn't clash.

Does anyone have something similar to this and can advise how much they are spending?

I have looked into Stephen Loynaz, DJ Connection, Event Factor, Liquid DJs, Vision DJs, and thats it.... any other suggestions? What are your thoughts on DJ Ubi? A friend told me he wasn't that good so I haven't really looked into that. Reviews on all of them would be great....

please keep in mind that I want to PARTYYYYYYYYYY!!! and my friends/family are all big time partiers! TIA!

    I've heard mixed reviews about Ubi.  But some of the older girls loved him.

    I would say go with Shannon from Liquid.  But I'm biased of course.  He really does rock though. 

    If I were you I'd meet with two or three and see who you click with best.

    Quotes that I got for LEDs are from $25-50. I don't know how much gobo projection is because I'm not doing it. I interviewed many companies and went with Liquid DJs, Shannon was amazing to talk to and was highly recommended to us by our venue coordinator and almost everybody I talked to after that. HTH!

    We got 4 hours of music, 12 uplights and a lit up DJ booth for just under a thousand from Vision DJs so the prices you got are pretty much accurate for what you wanted

    My quote was almost two thousand Surprised but I have 7 hours of music and purple LED uplighting (20 lights). My venue offered an in-house DJ but I said no and booked Shannon from Liquid. I saw him at my friend's wedding and he was awesome! I just wouldn't have anyone else : ) Seriously, I can't wait to PARTY at my wedding!!

    Ubi DJed our wedding and was BEYOND INCREDIBLE... I had heard many mixed reviews, some girls who told me he wouldn't even show up and would send someone else and had been completely freaked out... BUT after meeting him, I was confident he would be there at our wedding himself. He was always very attentive of my phone calls and met with me twice to determine my music style and mostly, to help me decide on my uplighting....  he was not only there early and was one of the first to be set up (uplighting and all) but our music was just incredible... till 430am!!!! People were even dancing between tables because our dancefloor was so packed the entire time... even my 85 year old grandmother and her 82 year old sister!!! He was also extremely strict about not playing songs that were on my "do not play" list and even had to get permission from me to play a song that was on my no-play genre ... So yes, with all the confidence in the world, i would recommend Ubi...

    I definitely need to write my reviews but haven't gotten to them yet... I promise I will, but I'm giving this one on Ubi here because you asked.

    I totally agree with pp!! I went to an ubi wedding and we did not sit down the entire night! So much fun and amazing music, amazing. I would meet with him for sure. GL!!!
