Invitation Stamps- 61 cents and 44 cents

I hope everyone enjoyed the someone gorgeously windy weekend.

We had out invitations weighed and we need a 61cent stamp on them.  Luckily they have a 61cent 3 tier wedding cake stamp.  Our RSVP envelopes need a 44cent stamp.  Two things....one the price of postage is going up April 17, 20111 (aka we need to put higher postage on them so guests do not have them returned with a red stamp on them saying additional postage required) and two there is not a matching cake stamp.

Did you guys and girls get matching stamps for the outside envelope and the RSVP envelope?

Have a great Monday!

Awesome! I was going to get the 61 cent wedding cake ones and then thought I had to wait to get the new price! Looks like you are all way more informed than I am! Good thing for the forums.  I guess Ill get whatever stamps they have. I am going to buy them online!

Any new stamps that were issued after the first of this year are now considered "forever" stamps. So as long as you purchase them before the price of postage goes up in April, it won't matter what the price change is, you will still be able to use them later on.

IMO nobody looks at the stamps on the envelope, at least I know I never do.  Don't worry about it, just buy whatever stamps they have and go with it, they don't need to be matching.  And like the pp said, they are forever stamps now so you won't have to worry about the increase.

FYI .44 won't change. Check the website and it explains what increases.

haha! love that.. I don't care what the stamps look like either. Nobody is going to notice that, and if they do, they have way too much time on their hands! lol

My invitations needed $1.05 (dammit!) - so I did a wedding cake 61 cent stamp next to a 2 linked-together wedding bands stamp. I put the wedding band stamp on the RSVP card, too, but my 2 outer envelope stamps didn't match - if people worry about that, I agree, they have too much time on their hands and have bigger problems than your stamp situation lol

I don't think people will notice at all. I am using forever stamps for our RSVP envelopes.
