Not White accessories -PIP

So FI thinks it's "odd" that I just got a clutch for the wedding that's not white, my logic was that it's brown and one of our colors is brown and because it's brown it makes it use-able after the wedding.  What do you all think? (picture of the clutch I just got is below, from Etsy, details in my bio)

I love the colored accessories!!  My shoes are bright blue (and my mom hates them!)

I haven't gotten around to picking out my accessories yet, but I was planning on adding some color with them! I think the one you got is really cute!

I think it's perfect!  I love the look of colored accessories - great accents.

I have red shoes, and will be wearing my grandma's garnet jewelry.

    I love it!

Honestly, I don't get the whole white shoes/white accessories/white flowers thing that some people expect for brides. I'm planning on purple shoes, and luckily my mom loves the idea.

Thanks guys! I really liked it too, can't wait for it to come in!!! Not sure what to do for my shoes yet...I actually saw some really cute bronze colored shoes at payless the other day though ( that would be a $$ saver!)

SUPER cute clutch!!  I had a turquoise crinoline under my dress.  No need to have everything white/ivory, plus the usability factor afterwards skyrockets if it's colored.  Play up the financial benefits of buying a brown clutch :)

I think the clutch is really pretty.  I had an orange crinoline and orange and brown clutch.  Honestly, I barely used the clutch...so go with whatever makes you happy!

I'm late, but I think I'm going to wear this necklace (much to my mom's horror- she thinks the only option is pearls. boo.) and these shoes! (both in sig)

IMO - you should wear WHATEVER you want! It is your wedding day! I am likely going with the same purple shoes as Steph and I love that they are not white/ivory.

Your day - you do whatever your little heart desires.  :)  I wore blue flowered Mary Jane styled sketchers to my mom's chagrin and carried a red handkerchief along with my bouquet.  I was super comfy and I can wear them again (and do on a regular basis).  I also had colored flowers because I personally am not a fan of the white/white/white/white/white options for brides.

Thanks ladies! I just got non-white shoes from Zappos! I think they'll look good with the clutch and they weren't that expensive ($60)

Love the clutch, shoes, & everyone else's color decisions, too!
So many of the wedding details are one-time-only, and that makes it special - like the gown -  but I can't imagine having everything sit in my closet for eternity!

I'm looking for blue or black shoes
I have blue & black clutches (but I'm a purse-hound, so I might buy a new one by Aug!)

Some things will still be all white-pearl: flowers, necklace, earrings.
