Booked the Webb Barn and Emily's catering!!

I am excited to say that we have officially booked the Webb Barn in Wethersfield and Emily's Catering (out of Bristol) for May 25, 2013. Katie at the Webb Barn has been awesome so far! Rick of Emily's Catering is amazing. He immediately asked us to come in for a tasting after my initial inquiry. He made us an AMAZING three course meal. The best part was he didn't make us feel bad about our somewhat low budget or smaller wedding size (since that means he won't make as much). If anyone has suggestions for a florist in the south-central or Hartford area, they are welcome! We are working with about $1,000 for flowers but are having a rustic wedding, so the designs can be informal and wild-like. I am hoping I can find someone to work within my budget, but if not I will take it on as a DIY project.

Hands down, Stylish Blooms by Melissa, you will not be disappointed unless she already has your date booked. Check her out on facebook, she has tons and tons of reviews and photos. She has been one of my favorite vendors to work with so far and the first one I booked over a year and half out! Get in touch, she is fabulous!

Yay for booking two big checks!!! I also love Emily's, and I know they've worked a lot with Christine at Azalea Floral Designs, which is why we booked them both together. I don't know what her minimums are, but it's worth a call - she's super nice!

I used Jane at Just for You in Middletown. I also had a very rustic theme. Our centerpieces were mason jars with glass beads in the bottom and loose Gerbera Daisies and bean grass. They were gorgeous and she totally worked with my budget. HTH!

Thank you everyone! I will definitely contact those florists this Spring. I appreciate all the advice. I am going dress shopping tomorrow. I know I have a lot of time, but I am just so excited!!!
