I haven't booked my florist yet, but i'm meeting with these two florists in March. I heard they're really good and inexpensive. we'll see though. :) WHen are you getting  married?

I heard great things about Maria Philbin Floral Design, and absolutely fell in love when I looked at pictures of her work. She came recommended to me by my wedding coordinator.

    We're checking out...

    Viansa Winery
    Solage Calistoga
    Vintage Estate
    Auberge du SOliel
    Meadowood

Did you meet with any of them?? :)

I met with Solage Calistoga.  It was a beautiful sight but was not a good fit for my small wedding....

    good luck...please keep me updated!

Thanks! :) Were their minimums too much? i'm expecting around 100 people. Do you think that would be a good fit?

I really liked Calistoga Ranch too! Are you super excited? When is your wedding?

    Hi peter.bernice,

I am so excited! Still having trouble finding a florist, going to have to keep looking.

Solage minimums were pretty reasonable but  there spaces were too big (reception spaces) for our wedding.

How is the vendor search going?  When is your big day and have you narrowed down a venue?
    good luck

    Hi Dianne! :)

we're hoping for june 26, 2011! Really far away, but that's okay! What about you??

We're back from our trip to Napa/Sonoma. Right now we really liked Viansa Winery and might check out Paradise Ridge at our next visit. I haven't checked out Calistoga Ranch though yet. Have you booked all of your vendors already?

I didn't like Solage that much either. It's too resortish..if that makes sense :)

I really liked Maki of Viola Florist. :) She's laid back and just really nice. She's willing to work with any budget too.

Lavendar Florist - Josette was a little to overwhelming and talkative for us. We're looking for someone a little more laid back. She's really reasonable and knowledgable though.

How's everything else for you? :) Hope everything is going great! Are you having your ceremony outside?  Take care!!

    Dianne-

I've looked at Calistoga Ranch online and it's pretty much at the top of my list so far. Are you using the cave? I'm expecting about 80 guests and was hoping the cave wouldn't be too small. FI is stationed out in Alabama so we're stuck until later this year when we can head back to Cali to look at venues so I'm trying to do a lot of the leg-work from here! Thanks!

    Hi!

I am new to this so hopefully i am doing it right.

I am thinking of getting married at Calistoga too.
How many people will you have at your wedding?
Are your guests staying there too?
If it's not too rude to ask, what is your budget?
Do you have a wedding planner?
