Hello. My partner and I are just about to book a wedding trip. I have run into an issue regarding invitations, though. Our travel agent says that from the day we book to the day the deposits for the trip have to be in from everybody will be 2 months! That is all! She recommended we use an email to let everyone know our travel arrangements, but I always thought that was tacky.
I have found great invitations on Etsy a while back and have planned to use them. The person who makes them says it's going to take 3 weeks for her to make them and and then mail them to me. Add to that the time it would take me to mail them out to everybody and I'm afraid we will be over the deadline.
So... what should I do?
I guess I will have to send out email initially, but should I still send out invitations even if that will be slighltly after the fact? I could make my own and send them, but I am not crafty and they will likely look terrible if I do them.
Anyone else have to rush their destination invitations like this? Have any ideas?
Re: invitation problem
A few months later I sent out Save The Dates
And just this Monday I sent my invites out.
Thanks ladies for the great advice!
I think I will email the travel information as soon as I get it and mail the invitations when they will be completed.
