mid-hudson valley barn venue help

Hello Hudson Valley!

Chris and I would love to find a venue where we can have the ceremony outside, and the reception in a barn. Ulster county is ideal (we met in New Paltz), but we're flexible about location. We're visiting Mt. Gulian next Saturday, and I've contacted Shadow Lawn. I'm wondering if any of you ladies know anything (especially cost, but anything at all!) about these venues:

Mt. Gulian
Shadow Lawn
Blooming Hill Farm
Shadow Mountain Farm
Apple Barn Farm

We've estimated about 75 guests. Can't give any info about my budget, because my mom won't give me a number! I got an email back from Shadow Lawn, and the fee seemed high to me, but I have nothing to compare it to as of yet. Any suggestions are welcome! Thanks.

I just came back from a weekend looking at the hudson valley so I can give you some updated information on a few of the places that you mentioned that I went to.

Mt. Gulian- plenty of dates still available for fall 2011, site fee is around $2000 but you can add more for more people (I think that's for 80) and also for additional hours.

Shadow Lawn - booked for 2011 already

Apple Barn Farm- I think they have one or two dates left, but I'm not 100% sure anymore since I couldn't do the dates they mentioned and so I didn't actually see them.

Hope this helps a little. Hudson Valley books up FAST! I'm having my wedding there and it was definitely a process trying to find places that still had availability. I might also look at:

Thanks so much! I'm really relieved to hear that Mt.Gulian is significantly less expensive than Shadow Lawn. We're going for a wedding tour on Saturday. Do you know what the fee is for Apple Barn Farm?
