Airbrush Makeup?

I am starting to look at finding a hair/make-up artist for the big day, but was wondering if anyone has any opinions or experiences about airbrush make-up vs. traditional make-up??

I had my trial done with air brushed makeup and I loved it. It evened out my skin tone and covered up all my blemishes. In person, you could tell I was wearing it (not to the point where I looked cakey or anything), but it looked fabulous in the pictures.

I've had both done at different times in my life for different reasons.
Traditional makeup is fine for a couple hours (prom or nightout..)
Airbrush makeup stays on alot longer and looks smoother. Also, if you are someone that doesn't usually wear makeup go with airbrush because it doesn't feel like you have any on (especially nice for summertime when its all hot and humid)
Even though eyeshadows are not airbrushed on, I still felt like my eye makeup lasted longer and wasn't smudgy when I had the airbrush as a base on my overall face

I agree with pp. I have had both done and I like the airbrush better. It lasts much longer and evened out my face. Either way looks good in pictures!

I definitely prefer airbrush.  I'm not big on foundation... if I wear any at all it's mineral foundation (powder), so it's pretty weightless.  I always feel oily and caked on when it's liquid.  The airbrush is the closest to that weightless feel, and I think it gives a much more flawless look... definitely lasts longer too.

Airbrush ALL the way!!! It is a noticable difference & lasts so much longer than regular foundation!

Do a trial airbrush is good for some but not for others. It's better for young skin.

I would recommend Air Brush, but you may want to go for a trial at a place that offers both, JUST IN CASE!!! Plus, your bridesmaids may not want airbrush, so booking hair and make-up with someone who has a wide range of options would be good!! From my past experiences, if you get your make-up done at a place that knows what they're doing then it doesn't matter which option you get because you're gonna look great either way! EVEN in some intense heat!

I HIGHLY suggest using "Beauty Entourage." They are the top ranked hair and make-up place on theknot.com and I have used them before for other ocassions (I also booked them for my wedding!) and they are just absolutely AMAZINGINGLY TALENTED and realllllly cool women! Honestly, once you meet them, you will fall in love with them, and they are AFFORDABLE!! I honestly CAN NOT WAIT to see my dress on after they have worked their magic on me, it gives me butterflies just thinking about it :)

Check them out! Here's the salon #: 860-612-0636

I'm using Beauty Entourage as well and my trial is in a few weeks - I'll be doing Airbrush.

They offer traditional (basic) makeup as well as airbrush.

I tried both just to see the difference and I preferred airbrush. It just felt lighter and looked smoother to me when I took some pictures of it. The airbrush make up doesnt move either! It stayed all day. I went to an event after my trial and it looked awesome all through the night!

I'm using Iralis from Beauty Entourage.
