Destination Wedding on 10/2012

I'm from California and I'm looking for any vendor recommendations.  I'm planning a destination wedding in Oahu in Oct of next year.  I've already booked my reception site: the lovely Moana Surfrider!!  My challenge is finding a decent florist, DJ, and wedding coordinator.  It's pretty difficult because I'm going to have to conduct all my planning via email and phone.  So I can use all the help I can get!  Thanks!!

    I'd suggest looking through ppl's planning bios and seeing what information you can find there.  I'm getting married on Maui, so sorry I can't be more help.  However, I can tell you that most of us have all planned our weddings successfully through email and phone calls.

    I have oahu vendor reviews in my planning bio but we didnt have a DJ, WC or floral done for us so I may not be much help!

    We used:
    Dianna with Hawaii Weddings & Events...Makes life SO MUCH easier! We booked her Lanikuhonua Pkg, but she's been doing this a long time & is familiar w/ your location.

    ND-Mixx Productions: Fran & Gil are a husband & wife team, they're so easy to work with & he'll play whatever you want. We chose them b/c he DJ's & Emcee's, not all DJ's in Hawaii do this, so keep that in mind with your search.

    Always Flowers: Todd stayed UNDER our alotted budget & was a pleasure to work with from afar.

    I am from Cali too & all these people were great to work with, we LOVED everything about our day & vendors!

    I just got married at the Moana three weeks ago. I'm so excited for you!!! My wedding coordinator does a lot of weddings there. She's moderately priced. Katy Castillo Weddings.     Oh and my dj was amazing! CJ's Mobile DJ. I also used Patty's Floral. Good luck! The best decision I made was booking our coordinator. She took a lot of the stress out of making sure I chose reliable vendors that were in our budget.

    We also used Hawaii Weddings and Events, they gave us many ideas on how to maximize our $$ and really made the process stress-free
