B-pics: to do or not to do?

When I first heard about b-pics, I laughed thinking that I would never do them because I would be too shy to do so. But as I've seen from several of you Knotties, the pictures have turned out GORGEOUS, so I am definitely considering them now! For those of you who have done them, any advice? Also, any recommendations for photographers? I adore my wedding photographer, but I have also known his family since I was 5, so I am pretty uncomfortable being half naked around him! Or, does anyone know of a marathon b-pic session coming up?

Thanks!

I would totally recommend doing them!! I wish I could have captured the look on my husband's face when I gave the book to him!

I don't really have any advice other than to relax!

I did them and I was happy that I did! It gave me an excuse to be SEXY and play around in lingirie, which I don't normally wear. I know that Damian will love them when he see's them! do it while you are young and hot! LOL

I don't know fo any bpic sessions coming up, but I'm sure someone that does will post soon. GL!

When I first heard of them I was thinking I would be too shy as well, but the more I think of it I know my FI would LOVE the pictures.

I talked to my photographer, Kristopher, from Kreativ Imaging when I booked him and he is considering doing another marathon.

He did one last year with Deux Adore and Simplicity.  He said that he was wanting to do one for Valentine's Day but time just crept up on him.  He is going to get with Shelly from Simplicity and will let me know.  If you'd like I can keep you posted?

I would love to do a marathon as it would give each girl a little extra time to change into their next outfit.

Definitely do them if you can. I think its a really nice gift to your husband. If I had the budget I might have done it. I think Amanda also does BP sessions

Page Amanda (mandyanydreams or something like that) -- she was the one who just posted hers.  She had someone who was new take them and she got an AMAZING deal.

I haven't done mine yet, but I'm in the middle of setting them up! I'm going to be using Amanda Williams (did our engagements, and will do our wedding too!).

I say definitely do them!!! I'll need somebody else to e-shop for outfits with! ;-)

Thanks, ladies! Yay! I am definitely going to do them now! Please keep me posted in regards to any marathon sessions. I will be waiting a while to do them because of my recent knee surgery and because I am so pale that I am practically gray right now, but now I feel more comfortable knowing that so many of you have done it. Thank you!

I would love to do them, I know how much FI would LOVE them. However, I'm a teacher, so I'm a little nervous about it. I actually had a parent just tell me she came across our photographer's website and saw our engagement pics. I would have to be guaranteed that the b-pics would not be posted on their website, and I don't know if they would be able to do that for me. Frown

I'm with you, Lisa.  Being a teacher is scary when it comes to stuff like that.  I am so paranoid about pictures on facebook and myspace.  I deleted myspace and am super careful about facebook.  I'd be mortified if there were pictures of me in lingerie on the internet!!

I read a story recently of a teacher who was fired for a picture that she had on facebook.  It was a picture of her and family/friends on vacation at a nice restaurant and she had a glass of wine in her hand.  I could not believe it!!

Anyway, I would totally do b-pics if I knew they weren't going to show up online anywhere and were affordable.  FI would be shocked because that is so unlike anything I would do.  He'd love it!

I would def. do them.I had them done last Tuesday and they were up on a private website on Wed.I couldnt believe it she was super quick at getting them back, about 20 edited. On Saturday she sent me the whole file of all the pictures, she can also put them on a cd for you and make prints. She was very reasonable $60 cuz I got her on a special. But he sessions are $80 for 2 hours of her time. She made me feel very comfortable.Only problem is she doesnt have a studio. But I know she has been talking about doing a marathon session and to email her if people on interested.i saw that on her blog.

I am planning to get them done - not just for my FI but for me, too! So years from now I can look back at them! My photographer has a seperate company for b-pics, http://www.ladolcevitaphotography.net/. She does private sessions, and we talked about her doing a marathon in April.
    Kinda Regards, Erica

I think if you talked to any photographer they would be willing to not post your pics on their website or put it password protected.

Thanks for all of the suggestions, ladies!

Lisa: I just heard back from Amanda Williams and she said that she doesn't even carry b-pics in her portfolio as samples because she doesn't feel comfortable doing so.

Amanda: your pictures are gorgeous! I'm sure your FI fell over!

I am doing them and can't wait!  I plan on giving the book to my FI as part of his wedding day gift.  He as no idea!  I abosolutly LOVE our wedding photographer and have asked her to do them.  I think we are going to do them in March.  She has given me a signed contract that states that they will not be used on her site, her portfolio, or anything like that.  She realizes how private they are and wants to keep it that way.  I say totally do them!  I can't wai!
