New here!

Hi Ladies! I just wanted to introduce myself, since you all have helped me without realizing it! My name is Kristin, and I got engaged on March 4 of this year! I've never been so happy! My fiancee and I have already chosen a venue (The Waterfront in Tempe) and a date (March 6, 2011) and I'm having so much fun planning already. You all are awesome with all of your advice and I look forward to talking with you all more!

Welcome! I am having my reception at the Waterfront, too! On March 19th. It is so beautiful and I'm excited to have someone else using the same venue on here. Any ideas about which of their preferred caterers you'll use?

    Happy planning!

I agree completely, it is absolutely gorgeous! And I'm a water baby so this was the closest I could get to a beach wedding. Where are you doing your ceremony? We just decided to do ceremony and reception the same place.

As far as caterers go, we are looking at Atlasta primarily but also a couple companies that aren't the preferred caterers, just because they would save us so much money, even with the $250 kitchen fee. Which caterers have you looked at?

We went to a tasting for Andrew's Catering and weren't impressed. Special Moments seems pretty good, but I haven't tasted the food yet. They are run by the same people who run Pier 51 or whatever next door. I'm interested to hear which caterers you've looked into that would be cheaper considering the $250 fee. I have ruled out some caterers for sure, for various reasons, so if you don't go with Atlasta and want to check out other people on their list, let me know.

Our ceremony will be at St. Timothy's Catholic Church on Guadalupe between Alma School and Dobson, so it's pretty close. I'm so excited to have a venue buddy. :)

I used Atlasta for my first wedding, they were wonderful.  For my wedding in October we used Waldos BBQ.  They were amazing and SO VERY CHEAP.  I got tons of compliments on the food and highly recommend them!
