Wedding at Rangeley Inn, Maine, anyone having or been to before?

Interested in having our wedding there. Going to see this weekend. Would love any feedback!

I'm way late to the party, but my mom and grandmother went to my cousin's wedding there this fall. They thought that the venue was nice enough, but that the food was terrible. They couldn't even cut the prime rib it was so tough. They ate breakfast at the hotel's restaurant in the morning and that wasn't good either.

They also were not impressed with the Inn as a hotel. My grandmother's brother and his wife requested a handicapped room, because he has a very hard time walking and lifting his legs to get in and out of a tub. It was the biggest joke of an accessible room, way too small and if he had been in a wheel chair it wouldn't have fit. He ended up falling in the bathroom trying to get around in the small space and my mother and father of the bride had to work for 30 min to get him back up again. They didn't want to call the paramedics, because he wasn't hurt and didn't need a doctor, but if it had taken much longer they would have had to call. Not that this applies to most people, but something to check out if you have family in a wheelchair.

We stayed there last September and it was alright.  I mean it's an older Inn in Rangeley...we weren't expecting a whole lot.

There was a wedding going on while we were there and I actually laughed out loud.  There were streamers and balloons - it looked like a high school prom.  Now I don't know if that was the bride's choice or if that's how all their weddings are, but it was soooo 80's.
