Booked the photographer today- whew! Nice to have that settled. Looking forward to doing an engagement session with him in the next month or two too! :)

    That's awesome!  I'm not sure how far you are along in your planning, but my photographer referred me to the vendors that became my photographer, my linen company, our chapel, and my florist.  He also recomended  make up artists and wedding planners.  I hope yours will be as great a resource as mine is!

    The photog was one of the first things we booked (in October - a week after we got "engaged" sorta lol) and we just booked out e-pics for May. May is a gorgeous time of year here and we don't need the pics for anything pre-wedding so no rush. I can't wait!

    He was a big help when I asked re: florists; I'm working with the one he recommended most- waiting for a quote from her. I've got a contract coming from the DJ. I need to talk to the venue re: linens & tables- they provide tables, and plain white linens- Need to figure out what else will be going on on those tables! Luckily a day-of-coordinator comes w/ the venue! Need to talk to a friend who also got married in that area about who did her make-up. Got lots of good recs from the venue too. I think I've made headway on the caterer, but fi's in Brazil for work this week and I'm waiting til he gets back so we can really go over that one together. Every so often I start to feel like, wow, I've gotten sooo much done, then I realize how much we still have to do. Plus we're renovating our kitchen starting next week. Someone needs to get back from South America before I go out of my tiny mind...

    My photographer was also great recommending a hotel for a block. You figure with getting ready pictures, he had been in a dozen hotels in the area.

    Congrats on the check! As PPs said my photographer recommended my hair and make up people and our videographer...I couldn't be happier with all of them!
